The Children's home, Casa Dayspring, is located in the northern part of the State of Veracruz in the town of El Higo. El Higo is located on a large river, Rio Moctezuma, which is the state line between Veracruz and the state of San Luiz Potosi.  the area is in the tropics but since it is in a river basin their main indrustry is sugar cane.  The sugar production plant turning sugar cane into refined sugar in El Higo is their main indrustry.
